"Planet of the Vamps"

Films: The Last Man on Earth (1964)

Alias: Various

Type: Mutant

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Neutral

Summary: It's a sad fact of life, but most of the time, the majority fears the minority, and in this case, the monsters were the former, and the human the latter.

History: After a vampire plague unleashed by bats takes over all of humanity, one immune man remains. He spends his days wasting away from loneliness and staking any vampire he comes across. But then the vampires begin to regain sentience, and the roles of monster and man become blurry...

Notable Kills: See Final Fate.

Final Fate: Tired of this man killing their ranks, the vampires chase him into a church, and skewer him with a spear, ending any chance of the plague going away. The vampires don't seem to care, really.

Powers/Abilities: None.

Weakness: Sunlight, stakes, garlic, reflections, everything old-world vampires hate.

Scariness Factor: 2-They may have been a threat in the past, but their dominance over the Earth and rebuilding of society paints them less as monsters and more as people finding themselves once again. The immune one may have been the last human, but he was certainly not the last man...

Trivia: -This film is based off the hit Richard Matheson novel, "I Am Legend". It's faithful to a degree, mainly because...

-Matheson had a part in writing the script, but due to his reluctance doing so, he took up the name "Logan Swanson" to do it.
